  • TASK 1: The chart below shows the percentage of females aged 16-25 in a particular country who participated in sports, compared with the percentage of people who watched them in 2000.
Vocabs:
  • females aged 16-25 (n)
    • => women who fell into the 16 to 25 age group = women falling into the 16 to 25 age group
 
    • => 16-to 25-year-old women
 
    • => women who in the age range of 16 to 25
 
  • particular country = different nation = specific nation (n)
  • play/ participate in/ take part in a sport (v)
  • TASK 2 : Governments should make people responsible for looking after their own local environment. Do you agree or disagree?
Suggested idea: Agree with the idea that primary responsibility lies with the individuals.
  • Citizens should act to protect their own environment because environmental problems directly affect people’s well-being → they need to be responsible for their own health.
(Người dân nên hành động để bảo vệ môi trường của xung quanh mình vì ô nhiễm môi trường sẽ ảnh hưởng trực tiếp đến sức khoẻ của họ → Họ cần chịu trách nhiệm cho việc bảo vệ chính sức khoẻ của mình) 
  • All the combined actions of all people and awareness of each individual will have a profound impact on the bigger picture.
(Sự hành động của tất cả mọi người và nhận thức của mỗi cá nhân sẽ có tác động to lớn)   Governments also have responsibilities in making citizens look after their own premises. Governments should support citizens by providing scientific guidelines in keeping their environments clean and tidy. (Chính phủ nên hỗ trợ người dân bằng việc cung cấp những hướng dẫn cụ thể việc gìn giữ môi trường sạch đẹp)
  • Governments need to raise the public’s awareness of environmental issues and even impose heavy fines on those who violate environmental laws.

Suggested idea: International Different ways that companies use to increase sales
  • In today’s competitive market, companies have to conduct diverse marketing campaigns in order to boost sales
(Với thị trường vô cùng cạnh tranh ngày nay, các công ty cần triển khai đa dạng các chiến dịch quảng bá để thúc đẩy doanh số bán hàng) 
  • Providing excellent customer service includes doing things outside of the sales experience

  • Changing outlook of the product to attract more customer’s attention → be innovative to design attractive packaging of a product.
